European oak has a warmth, vitality and natural durability. It is a premier cladding material with the potential to withstand the seasonal cycle with minimum maintenance. Oak cladding excels against man made cladding due to its sustainability and green credentials.
Hardwoods Group supply a variety of cladding to choose from, so you can get the desired effect you are looking for.
Tongue and groove cladding is the best cladding for a timeless, smooth appearance with the inherent strength of solid oak. Our TG&V is profiled with a small V groove and can be used for many exterior applications such as garage walls, gable and feature panels as well as gates. The TG&V is above industry standard thickness at 22mm and is manufactured from an air-dried joinery grade timber. Treating is not essential, but various oils will prolong both the natural oak look and the longevity of the product.
Featheredge cladding is the ultimate when combining the splendour of oak with value. Our featheredge cladding is cut straight from the fresh sawn QP1 timber. The timber will shrink slightly once fitted and this must be allowed for with enough coverage by overlapping the boards by 35mm. The standard size is 200mm in depth with a tapered thickness of 8 – 18mm. Supplied fine sawn and unfinished, it can be installed vertically or horizontally.
We supply the following standard types:
• Tongue and groove
• Tongue and groove with V
• Shiplap
