Client Requirements
The client wanted to extend their home with a warm, characterful space that would feel connected to the existing property while making the most of the surrounding garden.
Their key priority was to create a practical open plan living, dining and kitchen area filled with natural light. They also wanted the extension to feel comfortable year-round, with generous glazing, a strong visual connection to the outdoors, and a design that complemented the traditional character of the house.
Our Solution
We designed and supplied a bespoke oak frame conservatory extension as a simple kit, designed to be practical and manageable for the self builder to install themselves.
The frame was created to provide a strong, characterful structure with generous areas of glazing on multiple sides. To house the glass securely, the project included the Vestra Oak capping system, giving the glazing a clean, robust and refined finish.
Large glazed panels, double doors and rooflights were used to maximise natural light and create a strong connection with the garden. The exposed oak frame brings warmth and craftsmanship to the interior, while the overall layout supports everyday open plan living, dining and kitchen use.
Result
The finished extension has transformed the home, creating a bright and welcoming open plan space with impressive views out to the garden.
By supplying the oak frame as a simple kit, the homeowner was able to take on the installation themselves while still achieving a high-quality, professional-looking result.
The completed conservatory extension now provides a practical and characterful living, dining and kitchen area that feels spacious, warm and full of natural light.
